Jeff White
Jeff White came to Hixson Brothers in April of 2005, to serve as a Funeral Director’s Assistant. He is a native of Wichita, Kansas where he graduated from Wichita South High School (1969); and from Wichita State University (Bachelors in Education – 1973). Jeff has spent much of his adult life serving in church staff positions, first as a Youth Minister, then as Pastor, in Maryland, Nebraska, and Virginia. He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas (Master of Divinity – 1979). In October and November of 1992, Jeff traveled to the central region of Argentina, South America where he participated in a missions/evangelism campaign with a team of 10 others, over a period of 15 days. He and his family (Wife -- Beth / Children -- Stephen and Amy) are currently active members of New Prospect Baptist Church in Dry Prong, Louisiana, where Beth serves as Church Organist. The Whites also have a son (Gary) who lives in Central Virginia where he works with a law firm in Charlottesville.

Jeff enjoys his family, family outings, team sports, and reading inspirational books, as well as an occasional Louis L’Amour western, or a mystery by Agatha Christie. Recreational interests include baseball, softball, bowling, swimming, and basketball. In 1968, he was a member of the Kansas High School state baseball championship team, and in 1969, led the Senior Rookie summer league in hitting with a .407 batting average. He also still delights in opportunities to preach and teach, having done so in several churches in Central Louisiana over the past year.
