Len Mott
Len is a Funeral Director / Embalmer with Hixson Brothers, LLC in Marksville. Len graduated from Spring Valley High School, Columbia, South Carolina in 1974. In 1975, he joined the South Carolina Air National Guard while attending the University of South Carolina. He spent four (4) years in the Air National Guard there and two (2) years with the Colorado Air National Guard in Denver, Colorado, as a telephone switching equipment repairman.

He returned to Alexandria in 1981 where he worked in the family granite and monument business. He had attended LSU Alexandria and was introduced to the funeral business in the early 90’s. He is a 1993 graduate of Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, Houston, Texas, receiving his Associates Degree.

Len is married to the former Veronica Johnson of Baldwin, Louisiana and has two (2) children in college and three (3) step-children.

In his spare time, Len enjoys fishing camping, golf, woodworking and spending time with family.
