Obituary for Ruby "Pinto" Knapp Moses

Funeral services celebrating the life of Ruby “Pinto” Knapp Moses will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Crossroads New Life Tabernacle, Deville, with Dr. Herb Dickerson officiating, assisted by Reverends Michael Cole and James White. Burial will follow in Moses Family Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Visitation will be observed at the church on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and resume on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Wyatt Moses, Casey Moses, Jonathan Ryder, Colton Lemoine, Trent Smith, Casey Laird and Brandon Collins.

Mrs. Moses attended Crossroads New Life Tabernacle and Cross Branded Cowboy Church. Being a selfless person, she opened her heart and home to anyone in need, always putting others needs before her own. Mrs. Moses was a local business owner of Southern Spring & Brake Service, Alexandria. She loved children and enjoyed the outdoors and tending her yard. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother , great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was dearly loved. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by the many who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Mack L. and Ruby Morace Knapp; brothers, Charles Knapp and Carl Knapp and a niece, Debra Knapp Johnese.

Those left to cherish her memory are the father of her children, Marvin L. Moses; sons, Perry Moses and wife, Cathy Newlin and Clyde Anthony Moses and wife, Karen Berryman; daughter, Terri Moses Allen and husband Richard Allen; grandchildren, Ginger (Brian), Casey (Devin), Kristy, Ashley (Jason), Morgan and Wyatt; great grandchildren, Cassie (Kolby), Callie, Carley, Cammie, Kane, Kash, Jonathan, Colton, Taylor, Aubree and Mylee; great-great grandson, Clay; brothers, Jimmy Knapp, Ralph Knapp, Max Knapp, Jerry Knapp and Reverend Jack Knapp; sisters, Juanita Knapp Alwell, Peggy Knapp Smith and Armenia Knapp Cole and a host of other family members and friends.

The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to the Doctors, nurses and staff of 4A Floor, Rapides Regional Medical Center.
